Privacy and data handling

This page explains how Vaexil.tv handles contact messages, guide suggestions, votes, site analytics, and a connected Bungie account.

Information collected

-Contact form submissions can include your name, email address, organization, inquiry type, and message.
-Community suggestions include guide correction details and an optional source URL.
-Suggestion votes use a first-party cookie to reduce duplicate voting without requiring a login.
-Lightweight first-party analytics record public page paths and referrers. The first-party tracker respects browser Do Not Track signals.

-Connecting is optional. Everything on the site that does not need your gear works without it.
-When you connect, Bungie sends Vaexil an access token and a refresh token. Both are held in a sealed, encrypted, HTTP-only cookie in your browser. They are never exposed to page scripts and are not stored on our servers.
-The grant includes permission to move and equip items in your Destiny account, because that is what the Armory does. Vaexil only ever transfers and equips. It never dismantles, never changes subclasses, sockets or mods, and never spends your materials.
-Your inventory is read from Bungie and kept in your own browser, in IndexedDB, along with any tags and loadouts you create. It is not uploaded to us.
-Disconnect at any time from the Armory. You can also revoke Vaexil from your Bungie account settings, which invalidates the tokens immediately.

-Saving a build keeps it in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
-Submitting one to the community gallery is a publishing action: the build, its name and any notes you wrote are stored on our servers and shown publicly.
-A shared build carries Bungie item hashes and the text you wrote. It does not carry your account, your character, or per-item identifiers.

-Contact details are used to review collaborations, promotions, stream questions, and guide feedback.
-Community suggestions and votes help prioritize guide review, but Vaexil approval is required before anything becomes official.
-Analytics help identify useful pages, broken links, and performance issues.

-The site is hosted by Vercel or a similar website hosting provider.
-Guide data, suggestions, votes, contact records, admin settings, and lightweight analytics can be stored in Turso/libSQL.
-Contact notifications can be sent through SendGrid when email delivery is configured.

-Contact records and suggestions are kept as long as they are useful for review, support, records, or follow-up.
-You can use the contact form, or write to contact@vaexil.tv, to ask for a correction or deletion of a prior submission, a gallery build, or your connected-account records.
-Admin access is protected and is not intended for public indexing.
